The proof music can still be inventive. Listen preferably as a whole, though some tracks function perfectly as singles. It has a story, it is a world of its own. Electro cold sounds warmed by Damon's singing and several rappers featurings. No, Gorillaz is not a "gadget" project.

She has never been the typical diva, she is impressive in this album. The title track is dedicated to Maria Callas. Her voice is used with subtility and elegance on well produced tracks full of strings. Almost a classical recording!

I already had the US edition, but had to purchase the european one, including additionnal tracks. Impressive vocalist and infectious songs. That's what you call pop-rock efficiency... I actually pre-ordered the Tour Edition too.

My favourite track is "Keep on driving". Nice album with a light country shade that fits her voice. I guess this is the real Kat.

If you like world music and soft jazz, you should really try this one. She sings in English, Berber and a couple of French words. Listen to "Beautiful Tango".

The same peculiar voice and folk guitar than on "This is the life", with some more muscle grown on the road during her tour for the 1st album. The 2d CD, a live recording from 2007, is worth picking the deluxe edition.

Surprising change of sound after the sultry "Lessons to be learned". I had to listen several times before realizing I am enjoying it and the 80's Blondie oriented sound. Even if the charm of her tone got lost along the way. "On a mission" is a great starter and "What if you knew" is one of my favourites.

"Je veux" has been one of this summer hits in France and "le long de la route" will be this winter. If Edith Piaf was born today she'd sound like this. Cheecky, jazzy, fresh and natural.

I have been a fan for 25 years. So I will have several "goodbye releases" to purchase this year. A good compilation of the hits (and yes there is much more than Take On Me in case you'd wonder) and album tracks that deserved to be put into the light. Thank you for the music guys...

"My baby left me" is irrestible. She's a kind of clean and sane Amy Winehouse. Love it.

A nice surprise. Mix of pop, soul,reggae sounds. Try "Cry cry", "Lala", "Pussycat on a leash".

"Sweet & Wild" is totally country, "Sweet & Mild" (the 2d Cd of the deluxe edition), more folk oriented. Actually it sounds more to Jewel 1st album.

I fell in love with "Me fui". Great follow-up to "Pafueras teleranas".

Elegant and beautiful. If you liked the first album you will love the second.

"Hey Soulsister" made me buy the album. The others songs are less "radio friendly" but grew up on me.

This might be her "Erotica"... I don't know yet wether I like it or not.

I was not a fan a Girls Aloud, but I enjoy this pure mainstream pop album. Favourite track: the mesmerizing "3 Words".

His songwriting gets sharper with each release even if he might sound like repeating himself. Try "Maudit blues" or "l'envie et le dedain".

I still consider his 1st as his best, but there are some gems ("Summer of John Wayne", "Please") and some energetic tracks ("American spirit")on this one.

re-release of a-ha 1st album (originally released in 85) with a bonus Cd of demos and unreleased material. Nice gift for fans. Demos will not make casual listener's day though.
